The man accused of killing an Effingham County man and his two children has been found guilty of three counts of malice murder. The jury returned the verdict against 30 year old DeAnthony Germaine Griffin shortly after four o'clock, Saturday afternoon.
Griffin was convicted of shooting and killing 48 year old David Cribbs, Sr., his son, 28 year old David Cribbs, Jr. and his daughter, 18 year old Ashley Cribbs, on October 25, 2002 at their home on Ebenezer Road. Police say they were shot during a robbery. They believe the son may have owed Griffin money.
Griffin will be sentenced on Monday in Effingham County. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
