STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

A vigil was held Monday night in Statesboro to remember a young man who tragically passed away after an accident in a parking lot.

Jordan Aubrey, 17, was injured Saturday night, suffering major brain injuries. Aubrey passed away Monday afternoon in Savannah.

According to the Statesboro Police Department, Aubrey fell from a moving vehicle in a parking lot off S. Zetterower Ave. They do not anticipate filing any charges against the driver.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time.

Classmates, teammates, and others came out to remember a young man who made friends in class, at church and wherever he went.

"He was the kind of guy that, anytime you needed a laugh, he was there. You could go to him and anything he said would make you smile. He put a smile on my face and everybody else's face,” Alex Wagner, friend, said.

Jordan's grandmother told those at the vigil, as an organ donor, he would help save the lives of nearly a dozen people.
