Local businessman offering $7,500 for resolution in Savannah murder case

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

It's almost been a week since 23-year old Lawrence Bryan IV was shot to death in Savannah at East 52nd Street and Duane Court, and his killer is still out there.

To help bring closure to the case for Bryan's family, local business man O.C. Welch is offering $7,500 for a reward for information that leads to Bryan's killer.

Welch has offered money in murder cases before, and says the added incentive for providing information has worked in the past.

"Speak up. Money talks, and somebody knows what happened. Somebody knows, and somebody will come forward," said Welch.

Welch added he would like to see elected officials follow his lead in offering reward money to help close unsolved cases.
