Thursday was the first day back for students at Savannah Christian Preparatory School.
A unique back to school tradition involves embarrassing the incoming seniors. Tearful moms, proud dads and siblings lined up to see the seniors drive in for their first day of their final year.
Dr. David Pitre, the new headmaster, says the faculty is excited to have all of their students back.
"I know the teachers are ready to have the students back here. We have done an extraordinary amount of planning and strategic thinking and as a teacher said to me, it's time to have the kids back on campus,” said Dr. Pitre.
This year will be a planning year for the school. They hope to start campus renovations, and begin the process of consolidating both campuses.
