Final Savannah man sentenced in major drug trafficking ring

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Department of Justice says the last defendant in a major drug trafficking case in Savannah was sentenced.

Telly Riley, 39, from Crescent, Georgia got a little more than 12 years behind bars.

Riley was one of 22 sentenced, most of whom are from Savannah.

This was the result of a two-year long investigation that included wiretaps and undercover operations.

Agents seized about $1.5 million worth of cocaine, about $50,000 worth of pot, more than $300,000 in cash, as well as several firearms.
