CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police arrested a suspect involved in a domestic altercation involving a gun Tuesday morning.

Eric Davis, 23, is charged with aggravated assault and multiple traffic violations.

Just after 11 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Heritage Place Apartments, where Davis had beaten and threatened his 27-year-old girlfriend.

Davis left in the victim’s rental car. The victim fled on foot with a friend.

The victim and her friend encountered Davis again near East 35th and Florence streets, where he fired shots at them. Neither of the women were shot.

After hearing the vehicle description on police radios, agents from Metro’s Undercover Drug Inspection Team spotted and followed Davis to West 39th and Burroughs streets near Fellwood Homes.

Agents surrounded and arrested Davis.

Metro’s Violent Crimes detectives and Forensics Unit also responded.
