Alderman Felser: Savannah Has Rat Problem

One Savannah alderman says there is a huge rodent problem in the city. Alderman Jeff Felser has received half a dozen letters from people who live on the west side complaining of rats and snakes in their neighborhoods. Felser wants to make getting rid of the pests part of Operation Clean Sweep.

"Rats are not prejudiced," he said. "If you feed them, they will breed in any neighborhood and that's why it's important for this to be a citywide problem and that it gets addressed in a citywide effort."

Felser hopes to learn how bigger cities take care of their rat problems.
