41st annual Catfish Festival in Hardeeville

HARDEEVILLE, SC (WTOC) -

The city of Hardeeville is gearing up for its 41st annual Catfish Festival.

It starts Friday at 6 p.m., and continues all day Saturday until 10 p.m.

The event coordinator told WTOC that they're expecting about 5,000 people to attend. She also said the lineup of events is packed.

"Parade starts at 10 a.m., fireworks at 10 p.m., throughout the day there will be a cornhole tournament, there will be a cook-off and bake-off, there will be our catfish stew. And then, of course, pies, cakes cookies, all kinds of goodies. We have many vendors, over 60 vendors,” said Deanne Spikes, event coordinator.

Admission for the Catfish Festival is free, but rides, food, and merchandise are available at additional costs.

The event is located right behind Hardeeville City Hall at 205 Main St.
