SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A free clinic was held for children of active duty service members at Hunter Army Airfield Saturday by Armstrong State University men's and women's basketball teams.
Nearly 100 HAAF children from ages eight to 14 years old participated in the event.
The children learned tips on the fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense and teamwork.
The clinic's standout performers received game-worn jerseys from the players. Every kid received Armstrong t-shirts, while players signed autographs and took pictures with the kids and their families.
ASU's Military Appreciation game is scheduled for Jan. 23rd. All the military families attending Saturday's clinic received free tickets to the game.
