SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Armstrong State University working to help make the community a healthier place.
Wednesday, the Department of Recreation and Wellness hosted the 6th annual Health and Wellness fair.
Nearly 60 health vendors came from around the Savannah community to provide information to students, faculty and community members.
"It's basically creating that connection for students, faculty, and community members because you never go to the hospital to find your doctor you want to make some kind of personal connection first. So this is creating a platform for that," said Laura Schmarkey, Armstrong State University Club Sport and Wellness.
During the fair, folks were able to get free samples as well as get contact information for future medical needs.
