Savannah Mayoral debate held at Armstrong State University

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Another debate in the books for candidates in the running to become the next mayor of Savannah.

Murray Silver, Eddie DeLoach, Louis Wilson, and incumbent Mayor Edna Jackson took questions from the audience at Armstrong State University and talked about hot button topics like Savannah’s crime issue and how they plan on cleaning up the streets.

"I think it's important to hold these kinds of debates at neutral sites, you know, Armstrong has of course, like any entity that's associated with the city, has an interest in government. We are also a very objective and academic institution and therefore, we're an ideal place to hold a debate like this,” said Sociology Professor Ned Rinalducci.
