SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - This Halloween, 100,000 households are pledging to participate in the "Teal Pumpkin Project."
The national campaign, launched by the Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) last year, encourages people to place a teal-painted pumpkin outside their door if their home is safe for trick-or-treaters with food allergies. Participants are asked to hand out non-food treats, like glow sticks, bracelets, pencils, stickers and small toys.
If you want to participate, visit http://www.foodallergy.org/teal-pumpkin-project to pledge your support. Participants are encouraged to spread the word about the project by using #TealPumpkinProject.
