SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Seven is thinking pink with a fashion show.
Seven breast cancer survivors got to strut their stuff down the catwalk to raise awareness for the disease and spread the word about getting mammograms.
The models received a head-to-toe makeover and were outfitted in new clothes donated by a local boutique, A&A.
"It's for the survivors, but it's providing knowledge to everyone else to make sure they get their mammograms and stay with their checkups," said Buena Vista Jackson, organizer.
"When you raise $100, $75 of that stays here. It's dispersed amongst all health facilities in Chatham County and the eight other counties surrounding us," said Susan G. Coleman representative and breast cancer survivor Thea Jenkins.
Friday's event was sponsored by Pamper Me Pink, Girls with a Vision and Peachstate for Kids.
