BRYAN CO., GA (WTOC) - The 17th annual Ogeechee Seafood Festival just wrapped up night one of the festivities.
The festival, hosted by the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce, includes live music, crafts and seafood.
Country singer Joe Nichols is set to perform Saturday at J.F. Gregory Park.
Attendees also have the chance to shop around local arts and crafts booth, and to take in the sights and sounds of the carnival.
"The entire festival is run by 100 percent volunteers. Everything that we make outside of the commercial entities in the festival goes right back into the community," said Ogeechee Seafood Festival co-organizer Tim Proffitt.
"It's grown a lot since we started 17 years ago. It gets pretty hectic, but we've got everything we need to be able to serve everybody here and we just look forward to it every year. Even though it's a lot of work, it's a lot of fun," said Cooks Choice General Manager Kristy Apple.
The fun picks back up Saturday at 10 a.m. and continues through 5 p.m. Sunday.
