Millions of college football fans could have their eyes on Statesboro Thursday night.
The Georgia Southern University Eagles play host to Texas State live on national television as the games airs on ESPNU, a channel that goes into almost 75 million homes.
School leaders say that exposure goes beyond just the football field.
“Any time we're on TV, we want to send a message about Georgia Southern University. That we're a school of more than 20,000 students, that we're a research institution, and all the great things happening on our campus,” said GSU Athletics Director Tom Kleinlein.
The game starts Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
