CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - Polling locations are opening bright and early Tuesday morning as several municipalities across Chatham County prepare for elections.
There are a few changes to precinct locations this election. One of the four new locations will affect Savannah voters on the south end of town.
Those used to casting their vote at Saint Francis Cabrini will now vote directly across the street at Savannah Commons. But in the effort to notify those in that precinct, the Chatham County Board of Elections says the notification mistakenly had Pooler on the location.
"It's actually those voters who are going to vote, who have always voted I should say, at St. Frances Cabrini, are going to vote across the street at Savannah Commons. It's across the street, across Middleground Road, in the City of Savannah. It's not in Pooler as the card incorrectly said," said Thomas J. Mahoney III, chairman of the Chatham County Board of Elections.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at sixty-three locations all around the county.
The only municipalities in Chatham County without elections tomorrow are Bloomingdale and Thunderbolt.
