HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) - The long-term council member and Mayor Pro tem will square off in a runoff with a former two-term mayor from 16 years ago.
Allen Brown said he expected to finish as the top vote getter and Mayor Pro tem Charles Frasier in the second spot. The two most experienced candidates will square off in a runoff.
Both men said they won't change their campaign strategy, just the level at which they're campaigning.
"We believe in what we've been doing. We're just going to take it to a higher level. A lot of people thought we were working hard. But we're going to take it to a higher level," said Charles Frasier, Hinesville mayor candidate.
"We'll definitely intensify. We did a lot of good things but we had somethings we could have done better. We'll improve them in the next 30 days and hopefully finish even better," said Allen Brown, Hinesville mayor candidate.
Both said they'd hope to win the election outright but knew that was almost impossible. We'll see how the campaign shapes up between now and December.
