The winds were fierce all across the region today, including Statesboro. Gusts there got as high as 50 miles an hour, with rain early this morning. Ted Wynn, director of Bulloch County's emergency management, says they saw a few trees down, but none blocked roads. He says there were some flickering power outages downtown, but nothing major.
