Charges Pending After Car Hits School Bus

Scary moments for some Chatham County students on their way home from school today. Savannah-Chatham police tell us a Toyota Camry ran a stop sign at 57th and Paulsen and slammed into a school bus. The car then traveled through someone's front yard, hitting a fence.

Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to rescue the driver. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The bus driver and one child were also transported for minor injuries. Charges are pending against the car driver.

Laidlaw is investigating.
