RICHMOND HILL, GA (WTOC) - Registration is underway for the 30th annual Lighted Boat Parade on the Ogeechee River in Richmond Hill.
The parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 5th.
Festivities will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Fish Tales Restaurant at Fort McAllister Marina. The parade is set for 6:00 p.m. Trophies will go to the first-, second- and third-place winners, who will also receive gift certificates for $100, $50 and $25, respectively. The parade's ugliest boat will garner the "Charlie Brown Award."
The event will include live music by Luke Lander, free photos with Santa, a spectacular fireworks display and a toy drive to help children in foster care in the Savannah area.
"We hope everyone who comes to the parade on December 5th will consider bringing a gift to donate," said Zach Broome, Manager of Fish Tales Restaurant. "The community has always been supportive of the parade and our events, and we're just looking to give something back to those in need."
Parade registration is free and includes hoist, overnight dockage and a $25 gift certificate for anyone who takes advantage of early registration, which ends Dec. 2nd. For more information or to register a boat for the parade, call 912.727.3473 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
