Ogeechee Tech, Tormenta FC and The Clubhouse sign agreement for student intern possiblities

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Ogeechee Technical College, Tormenta FC, south Georgia’s franchise of the Premier Development League, and The Clubhouse Family Entertainment Center entered into a Memorandum of Understanding Monday to allow Ogeechee Tech students to work as interns with the soccer franchise and The Clubhouse.

Accounting, Hotel/Restaurant/Tourism Management and Marketing Management students will be able to work with The Clubhouse and the soccer franchise.

Tormenta FC and Clubhouse owner, Dr. Darin Van Tassell, and OTC President, Dr. Dawn Cartee, formalized the agreement at a signing ceremony on the Ogeechee Technical College campus.

Just a few of the activities in which students may participate are game-day management, event coordination, advertising, food and beverage operations, and accounting and financial support.

    A shooting between people in two cars left two wounded overnight in Montgomery County. Sheriff Doug Maybin tells WTOC it happened around 11 pm last night in the town of Ailey. Shots fired from people in one car toward the other left two people wounded.
