The Savannah-Chatham school board is calling in outside help to find the next superintendent. The board of education met today for a workshop to determine search criteria, selection procedures, and a timeline for the search.
Last month, the school board voted to use ProAct Search, Inc., a consulting and management firm, to help find the right person for the job.
"Our specialty is major urban areas," said ProAct CEO Dr. Nancy Noeske. "And to give you some idea of the searches that we've conducted, last summer we worked in the Washington, DC, search."
ProAct plans to have a new superintendent in place by this coming June.
