EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - The Springfield Police Department closed a five month long narcotics investigation Friday morning.
They obtained 61 felony arrest warrants prior to the attaining of three search warrants. Springfield PD, assisted by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit, served the warrants early Friday morning leading to 11 arrests.
They seized several ounces of narcotics, three vehicles, one firearm and several stolen items were recovered from burglaries in the area.
The investigation started with one house and grew to four houses and eight individuals. The areas affected were Ash Street Extension, Walnut Court, Poplar Court, East 3rd Street and East 4th Street.
There were a multitude of charges that stemmed from the search warrants.
