SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department launched a death investigation just after 8:30 p.m. on Monday, after reports of a man trapped under a car at a business on Telfair Road.
Metro officers found 17-year-old Marco Rosales pinned between a Chrysler 300 and the frame of a hydraulic lift, at Linear Shipping. Investigators believe he was repairing the car. He died on the scene.
Preliminary investigation shows no signs of foul play, but the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab will perform an autopsy on Wednesday.
SCMPD's Violent Crimes Detectives, patrol officers, and Forensics Unit all responded, as well as Savannah Fire and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
