STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - A play about Vidalia's world famous onions?
This week, Georgia Southern University students will present an oral history on the origins and the economic and cultural impacts the crop has had. The students will speak to the audience as one of the many people they interviewed for a host of perspectives.
"The farmers, the marketing people, the members of the onion commission, people at the onion museum, migrant workers," said Dr. Rebecca Kennerly, GSU professor.
They'll perform Thursday through Saturday night at 7:30 at Georgia's Southern's Black Box Theatre. Admission is free.
