Bill Durrence was elected to serve as Savannah’s District 2 Alderman.
Durrence beat out Incumbent Mary Osborne with 64 percent of the votes. WTOC caught up with the life-long Savannah resident at his viewing party at Cha Bella on East Broad Street.
"The first thing, of course, is to really have a good, direct conversation with Chief Lumpkin and find out exactly what he's getting. What he needs that he's not getting, find out really what's happening with public safety issues in the city. And not just the police department, but the fire department as well. And what's going on with the fire department contract,” said Durrence.
