Savannah-Chatham teacher Georgia Edwards loves her job so much, she's stayed at it for 34 years. She teaches gifted third, fourth and fifth grade students at Windsor Forest Elementary. And the board just named her Teacher of the Year.
"I love the students," she said. "I've had some opportunities come up in the past to go to leadership or administrative jobs, but I've turned it down because I enjoy the process of teaching students and I think that's what gets you through each day."
Even after 34 years, Edwards says she isn't stepping down anytime soon.
