Police investigating after man shows up at hospital with gunshot wound

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating a shooting that was reported Sunday morning.

At about 12:37 a.m., police responded to Candler Hospital where a 34-year-old male arrived in a privately owned vehicle seeking medical care of a non-life threatening wound.

He was reportedly shot during an armed robbery near Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Broughton Street. But SCMPD found no evidence of a shooting at this location.

Detectives followed leads to Fahm and Zubley streets in Yamacraw Village. Investigators are working to determine where the incident occurred.
