Five charged in altercation, shots fired incident at Wilmington Island gas station

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department’s Island Precinct investigators have arrested two adults and charged three juveniles linked to the altercation involving a gun on Dec. 29 at the Circle K Gas Station on Johnny Mercer Blvd.

Collin Stubbs, 19 and Yasmeen Jones, 17, were arrested at Metro’s Islands Precinct without incident. Stubbs is charged with several gun related offenses, fighting in a public place and reckless conduct.

Jones is charged with affray and several gun related offenses.

Three 16-year-olds were also charged with curfew violations and affray then released to their parent’s custody.

Police responded to shots fired call at the Circle K at approximately 11 p.m. Before police arrived, there was a physical altercation between Stubbs and a 16-year-old male.

During the incident, Stubbs allegedly fired three shots in the air.

Investigators believe all parties knew each other and reside in the Wilmington Island area. There were no reported injuries.

The case remains under investigation.
