TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) - The Tybee Island inauguration ceremony was held Tuesday night.
New council member, Julie Livingston and incumbents Barry Brown and Wanda Doyle, along with re-elected Mayor Jason Buelterman were sworn in.
Mayor Buelterman tells WTOC he's looking forward to the new term and a productive next four years.
"This time we have a lot of projects that we want to see completed. Some of which have already been started like brand new bathrooms at our North Beach. A deep well project to make sure we have access to fresh water for the long term. There's the ongoing issue of Hwy. 80, which is frustrating but we're working on that with the department of transportation and the metropolitan planning commission," said Mayor Buelterman.
Mayor Buelterman says he's planning on assigning committees within the next week.
