SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah-Chatham Metro Police have identified two persons of interest in connection to a shooting near Reynolds and East 40th Street that claimed the life of 53-year-old Randy Hooks in December.
Andre Daise, 32, and Yashua Mincey, 21, both of Savannah, are wanted for questioning. They are known to frequent the 600 block of East 39th Street. Daise is also known to have ties to St. Helena Island.
Daise is a black male that stands about 5 feet 8 inches and weighs 145 pounds. Mincey is a black male that stands about 6 foot tall, and weighs about 170 pounds.
On Christmas Day, police responded to a ShotSpotter call at Reynolds and East 40th St. Officers found Hooks deceased in a truck. Preliminary investigations showed the truck collided with two vehicles and a tree before stopping on East 40th Street and East Broad Street.
Events leading up to this shooting remain under investigation.
