One of NASCAR's most popular drivers, Kyle Petty, was in town for Saint Patrick's Day. For all the fun and to pick up a nice check for his children's camp. The check was presented by the Society of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick.
Victory Junction is a camp for children with chronic illnesses and life-threatening diseases.
"It's a special place," Petty said. "We lost our son five years ago, and we built the camp in memory of him. A little bit of him. A little bit of Adam is there every time there's a kid there."
The camp is located in Randleman, North Carolina, near Greensboro. More than 3,000 children are expected to attend this year.
