Chatham Co. Sheriff's Office hosts job fair

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office teaming up with the Georgia Department of Labor to hold a job fair on Wednesday.

CCSO is looking to hire 63 new deputy corrections officers. They say they were happy with the turnout of potential applicants.

The director of training explains what type of applicants they are looking for.

"Everyone in the surrounding counties and definitely Chatham County, if you have the professionalism, you have the integrity, you believe in accountability, and if you have the courage to stand up, come and be a part of the Chatham County Sheriff's Office. We would love to have you a part of our team,” said Director of Training Capt. Monica Bryant.

The Chatham County Sheriff's Office says it takes about 90 days from submitting the application to being hired full time.
