The STEM Academy at Bartlett was named the number one middle school STEM program in the nation on Thursday and received the Future of Education Technology Conference 2016 STEM Excellence Award.
The Academy at Bartlett was named a finalist last month.
The FETC STEM Excellence Awards recognize excellence and innovation in the field of STEM education at the primary, middle and high school levels, with winners selected from each level.
In determining the finalists for the award, evaluators stated they were impressed by the innovation and educational impact of Bartlett’s STEM program. The STEM Academy at Bartlett was the first middle school in the state of Georgia to receive school-wide STEM certification in 2015.
