No Charges for Two Students in McCracken Knife Fight

Police won't pursue charges against two juveniles in connection with an assault and battery incident at McCracken Middle School a few weeks back. And the two are back in school now.

Bluffton police interviewed several students who said the boys were actually trying to break up a fight that broke out in the cafeteria.

According to police, the fight started after a student brought a knife to school and attacked another student. He remains in the juvenile detention center in Columbia for an evaluation.

Another juvenile has been charged as an accessory and is under house arrest.

A fifth student is still awaiting a court date.
