If you plan on voting in the Georgia primaries this year, you need to make sure you're registered to vote before the deadline for the primary election on Monday, Feb. 1.
You can register online, or you can conveniently do it right on your smartphone.
If your legal name or address has changed, it's important to update your information in order to vote. To qualify to register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, 17 and a half at the time of registration and 18 by Election Day, you can not be a convicted felon, or found mentally incompetent by a judge.
The deadline in South Carolina has already passed, so if you did not register you will not be able to vote in the primary. If you did register, the Democratic Primary is February 27, and the Republican primary is February 20.
