Church Teaches Computer Classes

From old-time religion to the information superhighway, Saint Philip AME Church is helping young people keep up. Yesterday, they showed off their after-school tutoring program to Savannah mayor Otis Johnson and other city leaders. It gives kids a chance to learn to use computers.

"The kids who are right here in the surrounding neighborhoods, Frazier Homes, would have an opportunity to come to a structured environment and learn and be tutored and work with adults and other role models," said Rev. Dr. John Foster.

They'll expand over the summer, but need volunteers. If you'd like to help, call St. Philip AME Church at 233.2083.
