Top Ladies of Distinction in Town

Savannah is hosting some very special--and distinguished--ladies this Easter weekend. The Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., are in town for their regional meeting at the Desoto Hilton. This service-oriented group has its own "Top Teens," works with senior citizens, and helps almost every major nonprofit organization.

The national president, Peggy Lewis LeCompte, was so impressed with Savannah, she decided to hold the national conference here in 2007.

"We are expecting 1,500 people at at that time," she said. "During this administration our numbers have already grown."

The Top Ladies of Distinction have been around for 40 years and the group is active in every state in the country.
