Fish Sales Up on Good Friday

Today is Good Friday, and you may not know it, but that's very good for business at local fish markets and seafood restaurants.

Catholics aren't supposed to eat meat on Fridays during Lent, especially on Good Friday. So shops like Russo's Seafood look forward to the Easter season.

Owner Charlie Russo says Good Friday is always one of the busiest and biggest sales days of the year. "Probably, you know, another third, because it's on a Friday," he said. "We're busy on a Friday anyway, but Good Friday is the best day of the year as far as Friday is concerned."

Russo says they've had a steady stream of customers all day long.
