Over the last decade, the City of Pooler has grown quickly with people, shops, restaurants and there is more to come.
There is speculation about several different businesses coming to this area but the one WTOC knows for sure is a new Vaden Chevrolet dealership.
It’s going to be called Vaden Chevrolet of Pooler. WTOC is told this dealership will be more unique and focus on the consumer.
They will make it a shopper-friendly environment by providing customers getting an oil change or service transportation to and from the Tanger Outlets area.
Jane Vaden Thacher said they have been researching this area since Pooler was named the second fastest growing city in Georgia.
She adds it will seem more of a destination than a normal dealership.
"We’ve looked at the Pooler market for several years now, and they agree,” said Vaden Thacher.
This dealership is set to open at the end of this year or early 2017.
"When we looked at the demographics and the types of people that are moving and the buying power that are moving into that area we realized quickly that that’s somewhere we want to be for the future, the future got here maybe a little bit sooner than we originally realized,” said Vaden Thacher.
There were also rumors that Memorial Health would be building a hospital out here. WTOC reached out to them, and while they do have land in this area, officials say they don't have plans to build a hospital out here at this time.
