SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A Savannah restaurant, and local favorite, will be shutting its doors for good.

The Toucan Cafe announced that after almost 23 years of business, they will be closing.

Owner Steve Magulias told WTOC he and his wife will now focus all of their energy into their sister restaurant, Sweet Potatoes Kitchen. He says he'll miss a lot of things, but most importantly the loyal customers and staff.

"It's been great. It's been a great run. We're really proud of everything we've done here. We've had a great reputation. We feel like we're a really great restaurant. We've been a great asset to the city, as a lot of our customers have told us. We're just going to move into a little simpler concept,” said Maguilas.

The Toucan Cafe's last night of operation will be this Saturday, so make sure to stop by before it's too late!
