CLAXTON, GA (WTOC) -

A festival that celebrates hunting and the outdoors angered some people with a rule that said no guns allowed.

Claxton's Rattlesnake and Wildlife Festival posted a “no guns” rule for this weekend. That generated a lot of questions on social media.

The club tells WTOC they've clarified this to allow gun owners with a conceal carry permit.

"Of course we're not going to tell you to turn around. You're welcome in here. We just don't want anybody in here advertising their weapon and waving it around,” said Terry McCorkle, Evans Co. Wildlife Club.

The festival opens Saturday morning.  The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday and you can catch it live on WTOC.
