SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Would you like to get one-on-one time with some St. Patrick's Day Parade favorites?
The Budweiser Clydesdales will be available for visitation March 14-18 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Southern Eagle Distributing on Hwy 80 in Garden City. Even their Dalmatian mascot, Brewer, is there with his own stall.
Their first appearance is in Old Town Bluffton, March 15th, for a parade down Calhoun Street to May River Rd celebrating the 6th anniversary of the Old Town Dispensary. There's time for visitation afterwards.
In preparation of the horse's arrival, no parking will be allowed on Calhoun Street and the Promenade between noon and 7 p.m. The horses are expected to arrive in Old Town around 5 p.m. They will be on display between Lawton and Lawrence Streets. The parade will begin approximately an hour after the horses arrive. The parade will proceed down Calhoun Street, across May River Road, around the Promenade and then return to their starting position on Calhoun Street. There the Clydesdales will remain on display until 7 p.m.
During the parade, May River Road will be closed to all traffic between Goethe and Bluffton Roads.
Visitation on Hwy 80 on Wednesday, March 16 is longer: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00p.m.
Then, they'll be proudly marching in the Savannah St. Patrick's Day on Thursday; take as many pictures as you'd like, but please do not approach them on the parade route.
Lastly, they have a final full-hitch appearance on Tybee Island at 5 p.m., Friday, March 18th.
