Efforts to re-nourish seven miles of Hilton Head’s beaches has hit another delay.
Officials were planning to begin the process of pumping millions of cubic yards of sand onto the shorelines Tuesday, but say weather has kept the equipment from getting here on time.
Now the town council has to decide if it should re-nourish the beach over the next few months, or postpone the project start date until late summer.
The town will focus on which option will impact the island’s tourist season the least.
Council will decide Tuesday.
