Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating after a body was found at an abandoned house on the 2000 block of East 37th Street, just after 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
The deceased male found has been identified as 59-year-old Jerry Lawson.
Police have not released any information about the potential cause of his death at this time, but it is considered suspicious.
Remains will be sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy on Monday, March 21.
This case remains under investigation.
