Stars were on the sandy beaches of Tybee Island all day Wednesday, filming the new Baywatch movie.
From paparazzi to beach-goers and film crews, lots of folks were out enjoying the beautiful weather. The beach has been seeing its fair share of excitement, complete with Zac Efron and The Rock, and even David Hasselhoff.
A young group from Philadelphia enjoyed seeing the celebrities on the spring break trip. They showed us photos and videos they took as they met The Rock and Zac Efron, earlier in the day Wednesday.
Tybee’s Pier and two beach access walkways were blocked off to the public by security crews and local police for the filming, but that’s not stopping fans from finding a way to the stars. The group said they waited hours to get one picture.
"The chaos, it’s all fun."
Alice Andrews lives on Tybee and says she's enjoying every bit of it.
"It has been great fun seeing the sets put up, seeing the people come to watch, seeing the changes on the beach, the traffic.”
You can see even more on social media. Zac posted a picture of the group we spoke to, and one with David Hasselhoff, and The Rock has posted to Facebook.
