POOLER, GA (WTOC) -

Two men are in the hospital after being injured while painting the exterior of the Matson Warehouse off of S H Morgan Parkway, Monday evening.

The two were injured when their cherry picker got too close to the high voltage power lines nearby. The worker in the basket received third degree burns on half of his body. He is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. LifeStar transported him to the burn center at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta.

The second worker on the ground received minor injuries from electrocution. He was taken to Memorial by ambulance. He was walking around before being transported, and is expected to be okay. His injuries are non-life threatening.

Pooler Fire, Southside EMS, and Pooler Police all responded to the scene.

Georgia Power will have to blanket the power lines before the cherry picker equipment can be removed.
