SCMPD seeks suspect for shooting in Kayton Homes

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday in the 600 block of Draper St. in Kayton Homes.

Marvin Brannen, 37, was walking with two children when he was approached by the suspect, 26-year-old Rodney Dailey.

After a physical altercation ensured, one of the two men pulled a handgun. The gun went off during the struggle and Brannen sustained non-life threatening injuries.

He went to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment, where medical staff called police to report the shooting.

Detectives are actively seeking the whereabouts of Dailey, who is currently wanted for questioning in reference to this shooting.

The incident remains under investigation.
