SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The first of many upcoming Savannah-Chatham County Schools public meetings was held Tuesday.

From 4:30-7 p.m., parents and citizens were invited to Hesse K8 School to give their feedback on the district's draft plan for a proposed E-SPLOST three project list.

Some things on that list include security upgrades, new schools and more. District Officials were on hand to answer questions and provide information.

The final plan for the project will be provided to the School Board in July. And after that, it could appear on the November Ballot, asking voters for approval.

"We want you to come out. We need your support. We need the community to support us. We want them to come in and have an opportunity to see how successful our ESPLOST I program was. The schools we built there. How successful our ESPLOST II has been and then we want them to continue to support us,” said SCCPSS Chief of Facilities and Support Services Vanessa Kaigler.
