A 25-year-old man has been arrested on involuntary manslaughter charges after an alcohol-related death of a Lowcountry teenager.

William Thompson, 18, died after a house party on April 9/10th on Parris Island Gateway. Two other minors were hospitalized. It was revealed in an autopsy report from the Medical University of South Carolina indicating that Thompson died as a result of the toxic effects of ethanol (alcohol).

After investigation, it was revealed that 25-year-old Trong Duc Le, of Burton, purchased and provided the minors with liquor and beer that was consumed at the party.

Investigators obtained a warrant for Duc Le's arrest for involuntary manslaughter on Friday.

Le turned himself in at the sheriff's office and was arrested without incident. He was transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center and incarcerated.

As of this time, Le's bond has not been set.
